Ph. D., Northwestern University, Sep. 1991 - Oct. 1994
Surface modification is essential to enhance the surface properties and performances of materials. Interface and surface characterization using microstructural and electrochemical techniques enable us to gain better understanding about the structural modification mechanism and the properties of the surface of materials. Our research interests focus on the green techniques of electrochemical processes and the characterization techniques. The research topics include passivation of light metals and Zn-based coatings on steels, as well as electrodeposition of alloys and compounds.
