The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University is pleased to invite Prof. Chenn Zhou from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Northwest to deliver a comprehensive lecture on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Simulation and Visualization Techniques in Steelmaking Processes. The lecture will also address the innovative applications and challenges of CFD in modern steelmaking technologies. Prof. Zhou is the Director of the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) and the Steel Manufacturing Simulation and Visualization Consortium (SMSVC). She oversees Purdue University Northwest's interdisciplinary research center and a national steel consortium. Prof. Zhou has over 40 years of experience in combustion, CFD, energy, decarbonization, and pollutant emissions. She integrates computational modeling, simulation, virtual/augmented reality visualization, and other digital technologies to address real-world problems.
