演講摘要：

In this talk, I would like to present the research activities in our group during last few years. I would like to share with you about how to play with low-dimensional materials ranged from nano to atomic scales, both in fundamental aspects and also in potential industrial applications.  The content will cover from the low-dimensional nanomaterials such as quantum dots (0D), nanorods (1D) to our recent research interest of atomic layered graphene-based materials (2D) in optics, electronics and photonics. In particular, I would like to share with you how important the “interdisciplinary” research is for the development of nanoscience and nanotechnology.  Hopefully, this talk can inspire more intellectual exchange and interdisciplinary research in the future between students and faculty in MSE, NTU.
