舉辦緣由:
邀請「COMSOL多物理有限元素分析軟體」國內唯一代理商皮托科技楊棟焜處長講演COMSOL在材料製程現象和性質預測等多物理計算能力,並且延續10/3(一)系上專題演講邀請紐約市立大學先進科技研究中心王耀霆博士在超穎材料(metamaterials)方面的研究分享內容,讓王博士分享利用COMSOL進行計算材料科學研究與實務應用之經驗
預計舉辦地點:
工綜319電腦教室,可容納約40人
開放參與對象:
材料系老師、材料系研究生與專題生等,無任何參加費用
體驗COMSOL方法:
用已安裝COMSOL含試用一個月License的教室電腦進行上機體驗活動,同時也開放參與師生帶筆電並在筆電內安裝COMSOL含試用一個月License
預計工作坊內容:
a. 楊棟焜處長從基礎開始講起(包含多物理量介紹、COMSOL軟體模組、操作介面講解等等)
b. 楊棟焜處長帶入建模步驟以及範例講解
c. Q&A時間
d. 中場休息
e. 王耀霆博士分享利用COMSOL進行計算材料科學研究與實務應用之經驗
f. 蘇德徵助理教授簡要說明如果材料系研究生後續有需要COMSOL計算與學習時,「凝固製程與流變實驗室」能提供什麼樣的服務
Reasons for this activity:
(i) Invite Director T.K. Yang from Pitotech Co., Ltd., the only domestic agent of "COMSOL Multiphysics Finite Element Analysis Software," to demonstrate COMSOL's multiphysics computing capabilities in material process phenomena and property predictions, and
(ii) Following up on the 10/3 (Monday) talk, invite Dr. Y.T. Wang from the Advanced Science Research Center - CUNY to share the research content on metamaterials. Dr. Wang will share the experiences of COMSOL for computational materials science research and practices.
Expected venue:
No. 319 Computer Classroom in the College of Engineering Building, which can accommodate ~ 40 people
Participants:
Teachers, graduate students, and students carrying on a research project in the NTUMSE, etc., without any participation fee
Experience the COMSOL Method:
Use the classroom computer with a COMSOL one-month trial license for hands-on experience activities. At the same time, teachers and students are also encouraged to bring a laptop computer and install the COMSOL with a one-month trial license.
Expected workshop content:
a. Director T.K. Yang will start by introducing some basics (including COMSOL multiphysics introduction, COMSOL software modules, operation interface explanations, etc.)
b. Director T.K. Yang will explain modeling steps and example demonstrations
c. Q&A section
d. Intermission
e. Dr. Y.T. Wang will share his experience using COMSOL for computational materials science research and practices
f. Assistant Professor T.C. Su will briefly explain what kind of services the "Solidification Processing and Rheology Lab" can provide if the graduate students in NTUMSE need to study and use COMSOL in the future
