演講摘要：
Conducting polymers (CPs) are π-conjugated materials, which can direct electricity similar to inorganic compounds.In the other hand, CPs can undergo molecular tailoring by covalent linkage. Recently, there have been growing interestsin using CPs for biomedical applications. In this presentation, I would like to talk about our research on developingfunctionalized polyethylenedioxythiophene for biomedical applications. There will be three parts in this presentation:the philosophy to create functionalized monomer/polymers, the synthesis and applications of CPs’ nanostructures,and the applications of electrical stimulation through CPs. For this part, I will give a brief overview of our recent workon using CPs as electrical stimuli-responsive materials for bioengineering.
